9-month gross sales dip at SA’s Pepkor on lockdown hit

South African clothes retailer Pepkor Holdings mentioned on Friday gross sales for the 9 months to June 30 fell 1.5% after its shops had been shut within the third quarter attributable to a COVID-19 lockdown.

Pepkor, a subsidiary of Steinhoff Worldwide, mentioned group gross sales fell to R52.Three billion ($3.13 billion). It added that the nationwide lockdown interval throughout April resulted in misplaced income of an estimated R5 billion.
